The Lord’s Prayer 30 Day Challenge: Day #5 Hallowed Be Thy Name

Praying today, my mind and heart connect on the words, “Hallowed by thy name.” The New Living Translation is “May your name be kept holy.” This is where tension exists for me when things are not right in my life or around my purpose in life. This is where the rubber meets the road so to speak in my personal and professional life when I ask God to keep my feet on a path that honors his name. This is where the tough and painful decisions are made.

Each week in Sin City Church, at the end of the service we sing The Lord’s Prayer together. The music was written by Adam who serves on God’s worship team at SCC. This is a reminder that we leave remembering to keep God’s name holy each day, that we leave evidence of heaven on earth as we go through each day, and that we leave in a spirit of forgiveness from God and toward others – the topic for the message today. Oh God, may the message you have given for today completely bless you and honor you, bring healing, and transformation. In Jesus name – Amen!
