The Lord’s Prayer 30 Day Challenge: Day #20 “Change Agents!”

Put a Sour Gummy Worm in an unsuspecting mouth, and watch the facial expressions of that person change in an instant – taste bud sensory overload.

Change is an interesting thing. We use phrases like, “Something needs to change,” or “she’s changed.”

Change occurs in a marital status, residence , job, etc.; or, maybe something as simple as a vehicle we drive.

Some people love change and others are fearful of it. Some people make attempts to control all change around them, inevitably being taught they will not be successful.

Change can invite comfort or discomfort. Change can bring justice or injustice.

Change can be offensive to people if they don’t agree with it or if it affects them in a negative way.

Change is most painful when it involves the loss of someone or something and it means saying, “so long.”

When we pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, we are inviting change – really good change.

If we pull evidence from the Bible, all we need to do is start in the beginning and understand changes that occurred with Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, and David and Bathsheba. Initiating change initiates good or bad consequences depending on the change that is initiated.

Jesus taught us how to be change agents in the world we live in.

For God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, we are not only inviting change; but, we are agreeing to be change agents.
